Review of Between Afternoon and Evening - A Blink in Time

What can I say? This was one of the best books that I have ever read. Between Afternoon and Evening. A Blink In Time by A.W. Beauchamp has romance, heartbreak, deceit, suspense, scheming, and more. I sometimes read this book into the night, as I couldn’t put it down. The book follows the lives of two married couples and also the lives of the friends and co-workers who evolved around them. I would get angry at one of the characters and scream into the book, saying, “NO, not him!” The author wrote the book with verbiage that was easy to follow and understand, and the words flowed smoothly throughout the book.
There are some sexual, seductive scenes and some profanity, so I do not recommend this book for young adults. There was, in the beginning, a time when they introduced a lot of characters, which might be confusing at times and challenging to keep track of who was with whom, but after you got into the meat of the story, you followed along effortlessly.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book. The introduction of characters above did not distract me from the book, nor did I dislike it. I, undoubtedly, give this book 5 out of 5 stars. For readers who love romance, this book is the one for you.

Old Love vs. New Love:
She's caught between a husband who strayed and a new love that feels right. Will she choose the comfort of the past or the promise of the future?

Back in the car, he sat beside her and placed his arm around her.
“I am so sorry for what I have done to us,” he told her.
“I know, but things have gotten more complicated than the two of us.”
“You mean Charles,” he said with regret.
She nodded. “Charles, Ebony, and all that goes with it.”
“Are you in love with him?”
“I love him, and I don’t want to think of my life without him.” She looked at Bill and continued, “I am not saying that to hurt you. I just want you to know that ‘we’ are now more than you and me.”
For a while, they didn’t speak, and then he asked, “Do you still love me?”
She smiled sadly. “I am not sure. I am still trying to understand who you turned out to be.”
He placed his mouth next to her ear; the warmth of his breath drew her back into his charm.
“Do you still want to make love to me?”
“I don’t know what you mean,” she told him.
“You’re being evasive. I couldn’t have said it any clearer.”
She smiled. “No, I don’t want to make love to you. I want to have sex with you, but I know I would only be using you.”
“I’ll forgive you in the morning. Use me! I promise I won’t play hard to get,” he laughed.
She looked into his eyes, and they connected. “Kiss me,” she whispered to him. “Kiss me and hold me tightly so I can remember when ‘we’ were only you and I.”
He placed his hands on her cheeks, and they kissed. When they looked into each other’s eyes, there were tears for the pain of the past and future.

Hi awbeauchamp,
Ohhh I loveeedd it!! The storyline was exceptionally well-crafted. The romantic elements were seamlessly integrated, avoiding any awkward transitions between scenes. The balance of emotional development between charcters was ideal—neither excessive nor insufficient. The gradual development of Eddie's character was executed perfectly. Initially, as I began the editing process, I anticipated encountering yet another romance narrative with a predictable happy ending, based on my previous experiences. However, your manuscript truly distinguished itself with a compelling plot. As an editor, I found myself genuinely eager, like a reader, to discover the direction in which the story was heading. In summary, it was an enjoyable read! Typically, I edit on a chapter-by-chapter basis, but I found myself engrossed in your manuscript in a single sitting before commencing my edits. It was that captivating
